Delete your Stride account

Delete in the app

1. Open Stride and go to the Profile tab.
2. Under Account, tap Delete account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone. You will be signed out.

If you bought a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in your store account settings as well. Deleting your Stride account does not cancel it.

Delete without the app

If you no longer have the app, email support@stridedating.co.uk from the email address you use to sign in to Stride, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm the request comes from the account holder and delete your account and data within 30 days, then let you know it is done.

What is deleted

• Your account, sign-in email and profile: name, date of birth, gender, preferences, bio, basics and movement details
• Your photos (the files themselves are removed from storage)
• Prompt answers and interests
• Your approximate home location
• Likes and passes, matches, date plans and messages
• People you have blocked
• Your Strava connection: we revoke Stride’s access to Strava and delete your tokens, imported activities and the signals worked out from them

What is kept, and why

• Reports about other users. If you reported someone, the report is kept to protect others, but your link to it is removed. If someone reported you, the report is kept linked only to an identifier that no longer matches any account. Reports are kept for up to 2 years.
• Information we must keep by law, for example to respond to a police request already in progress, or to deal with a legal claim.
• Backups. Encrypted backups held by our hosting provider are overwritten within their normal backup cycle.

Messages you sent are deleted for both you and the person you were talking to.
